Default Prenatal Vitamins - 08-15-08, 08:03 PM

I suppose I should start taking these again regularly, to get my body ready. Thankfully I still have a bottle in the bathroom.

I like the target bottles - they're huge, last forever, and have a good amount of folic acid. I've seen some that only have 400mg, but I think the ones I get have 800? I'd have to check.

My OB prescribed some special ones that tasted like vanilla. They were great when you had morn sickness cause vanilla is mild, doesn't make you sick. (one of the only things I could get down during the first tri was vanilla yogurt) They should offer those at Target or some common store.

I take mine at night before I go to bed. Never had an issue with taking them that way. I know there are a lot of women that get sick from their prenatals and then they're ob's suggest trying to take them at night or they prescribe a prenatal with a lower dose of certain things in them.

My issue was how they tasted. Like sawdust gah! I got the vanilla ones around 12 weeks when I finally got in for my first appt. Loved them.

Well you're not suppose to keep them in your mouth like candy or a cough drop - swallow with some water or whatever and move on - silly girl

Someone should seriously consider making prenatals into a flinstone type vitamin - though the last time I had those I thought they were utterly disgusting Still... the point is that many women have trouble taking their prenatals for one of many reasons - they make many women sick or some just hate the taste, maybe making them into something tastier would help?

butter rum/scotch flavored prenatals or just butter rum life savers? I was just thinking how tastey butter rum life savers are after you mentioned life savers
