I'll have to do some research.

I just am very fearful of having my first few periods like I did last time

it was brutal. I didnt get it till 11 or 12m with Sienna but it was just awful awful awful and I'd love to avoid that if I could.

all done, ouchie im crampy....it hurt quite a bit but it was quick. got the mirena. doc said eventually no periods

how long was the procedure and how bad did it hurt? hope you feel better soon. did she say anything about if youll get your period sooner because of it or if it will still hold off if youre breastfeeding regularly?

procedure was about 5 minutes, it was uncomfy when he put the speculum in, then you feel a sting then 2 huge major cramps but they only last a few seconds...now im just cramping like period type cramps. wont make me have a period sooner...once i do have one he said its likely ill just have 3 or 4 light periods and thatll be it. i am bleeding from it now but it shouldnt last long.

i took half a tylenol 3 before i went and just took the other half so hopefully wont be too bad

once they get it in they use a u/s to check the placement they want me back in 4 more weeks to check again then you just do your yearly paps

Glad it went well...and I'm glad that what your feeling (not that I'm glad you're in pain) is consistant w/ what the NP told me yesterday- except she left out the part about the u/s and yearly pap...anyway...keep us updated
