Default Savannah's 2nd Bithday party - 01-02-09, 12:54 PM

I have 3 weeks to pull this all together

This is what I have so far planned for food and drinks....

Food
Dry fruit mix ( like a trail mix thing)
Banana chocolate chip cookies
Cake and ice cream
Mini sandwiches (ham and turkey)
Chips

Drinks
Yohoo packs
Apple juice packs
Water bottles
Pepsi cans

Think thats enough? Any suggestions?

sure - just don't go overboard on the drinks. I don't know many people that like yoohoo. The juice and water honestly should be sufficient for drinks. I think you could even skip the trail mix.

me, Savannah and Dustin like all those drink so if we have left overs at least they wont go to waste.

I got the trail mix because I know some of the people that are invited don't like cake (Its true there are people out there that don't like cake!!) and Savannah is going to wine because she wants chips when she sees others with them so that was going to be the kids "chips"

I'm trying not to go over board but you know how I am.

If you were coming to the party would you be ok with what was there to eat and drink?

do you really think giving her something different than what the adults have will calm her complaining?

Keep it simple - make sure there is food for the kids that they will like. Don't feel you have to cater to the adults. It's a kids party.

Yeah, if its trail mix it will shut her up

Maybe I shouldn't do the cookies? They are getting a monkey cupcake in there goody bag (that way the mess goes home )

So for lunch it would be the sandwiches, trail mix, chip and drink then cake and ice cream for dessert. And then the chips and trail mix will be there to snack off from during the right of the time (Don't see how anyone can be that hungry not like this party is going to me very long)

parties are usually a few hours at most especially when they're little sooo sure cut out the cookies or make monkey cookies for the goodie bags instead of cupcakes

Good me too!

I didn't want to put a whole mess of candy or cheap toys that will just go in the trash when they get home.
