WIC

Wasn't sure where all to put this, please move if it's wrong =)

I just called WIC to see if I even qualify this time around. I had it when I was pregnant with Catherine and until she was about 1 I think. Family of 4 out here in Alaska, military actually has a high cap, but I work full time as a branch manager so I dinna no qualify =/

I found it was so helpful with Catherine though, especially since she was a formula baby. I figure when we move back to Washington state in April and I'm not working, I'll qualify for it again.

OHHH I want WIC! We don't qualify but I just realized we might after I quit working. Nice one.

Yeah definitely look into it when you quit work, every little bit helps, I know. Shoot at one point we were getting 2 1/2 gallons of milk a week and I had like 20 boxes of cream of wheat in my cabinets! If you're breast feeding they cover veggies too or did at least. It helped SO much with the formula, I maybe bought it once (16 bucks back then) but by the time she was off the bottle (11 months) it had tapered down to me having extras. It's a great program, for sure. It was a teeny bit embarrassing at first having to section off my WIC purchases from my groceries, but screw it - after a while I didn't care and you see tons of mothers on base doing it in line at the commissary.

Right and I do kinda envy them in a way. Whatever we can do to get those bills down, I am so for it.
