I'm thinking about returning the pitcher actually. It's purdy and all but it ended up leaking. I tested it with just water and it didn't leak but it leaked with the iced tea after pouring some into a cup. I can't have that plus it is super slow to pour but I kind of expected that. Still...

oh and the only kids at the family parties right now are Sienna and Camryn. Come Sept there will be a wee one joining us but that's it. Friend parties may occasionally have kids.

meaning nonalcoholic a lil bit of caffeine isn't the end of the world especially if they're gonna get all hopped up on sugar from cupcakes and what not but yeah decaf is an option. Though I already have a box of family iced tea bags

i thought you were saying it in the sense that soda isnt kid friendly (which i wouldnt really think it is) but it comes pretty close to tea- sugar and caffeine. i sweet tea, i didnt know you guys up there drank it much

you really can't compare iced tea to soda. Soda is loaded with an enormous amount of crap and is just really bad. Iced tea, while it may not be as good as straight fruit juice or water is a better option than soda any day. But it was a general comment about wanting something besides soda... drink options for parties that are kid friendly as well as being cheaper and easy to make No I don't believe sweet tea is as popular up here as it is in the south.
