Default Holiday baking list - 12-06-07, 12:56 AM

My plan for tomorrow is to try and finalize my list of what items I want to bake this year. I'm going to make some stuff I usually make along with trying some new stuff. So once I finalize my list I can make my ingredient list - oh boy that'll be interesting. 30 cups of sugar, 20 cups of flour... you get the idea

I'll post my list once I make up my mind

Are you baking anything this year?

My current list:

Snickerdoodles
Cranberry Orange Pinwheels (Josh will be mad if I don't make these )
Peanut Butter Kisses (maybe not)
Thumbprints (these look interesting)
Chocolate Mint Cookies
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Fudge

so with all of that... I'll need:
11 1/2 cups of flour
9 3/4 cups of sugar
5 cups or 10 sticks or almost 3 boxes of butter

I have 2 packages of unopened flour and at least 1 unopened package of sugar (maybe 2) so that is a big chunk of it anyway

Zeke's family makes these galette cookies err whatever they're called and mine makes puppy chow so I'm going to try and make both of those. Puppy Chow recipe below. I'm off to find the galette cookies.

I'd love to make an apple pie again if I can find good apples
